Smart Skipper ("this extension") respects your privacy and processes only the minimum data necessary.

1. Information We Collect and Store

This extension stores only the following settings data locally in your browser (Chrome storage.sync).

These settings are non-personally identifiable functional preferences. We do not collect passwords, email addresses, browsing history, or any personal information.

2. Data Storage and Transmission

Storage: All settings are stored exclusively in chrome.storage.sync.
Transmission: This extension does not transmit any settings data to external servers.
Netflix: On Netflix pages, the extension fetches subtitle files (WebVTT) from Netflix CDN to calculate subtitle timing. This data is processed locally in the browser and is never sent to any extension server.
